Balance Your Chakras For a Much Healthier Life

April 20th, 2010

It is a proven fact that optimal conditions are achieved only at a specific point where there is equality in the factors of the surroundings and the same applies to the energy circles or the chakras that bring in the spiritual energy into our bodies. Another fact of life is that every human being lives with an outer body and an inner self, and both are very important for survival.

In any act we perform it is important that both forms of our existence have the correct balance and can perform optimally. While food, air and water are the key elements for the survival and balanced growth of our physical body, the 7 chakras are considered to be responsible for the active functioning of our spiritual self and it is also important that we maintain the chakra balance.

Chakra balance is a follow up after the cleansing of the chakras is completed. Once the chakras are able to free themselves of negative energy and bring in the positive, their cleansing process is said to be over. The heavenly bodies are said to play a significant role in the exchange of energies in this way.

Chakra balance is obtained by ensuring that the energy exchange takes place for each chakra so that not only the individual chakra is balanced but an overall chakra balance can be seen for the human being, which would mean that all your body parts are in the best of conditions and you are in great health.

As one would know that there is a specified organ linked with each one of these circles of energy and hence you need to take care that all the chakras are in a balanced state or else a small disorder in a critical body part could lead to quite a few health problems.

One of the major ingredients of chakra cleansing and chakra balance is water, making it a major part in your diet as well as regular bathing; swimming etc helps to keep your chakras balanced.

Another important part of our lives are the various colors around us as each chakra relates to a particular color and hence if there is an imbalance of the chakra, bringing the associated color into your life can be said to be an effective way of treatment.

For years people have been highlighting the advantages of meditation, it not only gives you peace of mind but also provides a channel for your spiritual self to reinvent itself. As important is sleep for the freshness of the outer body, equally important is meditation for your inner self.

In fact also sleeping is a form of meditation and it not only relaxes the physical body but also recharges a good amount of the chakras and hence it is very important that a person gets adequate sleep.

One of the most common methods of maintaining chakra balance is by keeping all your body parts in proper shape with the help of correct exercises. Inclusion of exercise in ones routine means that the chakras are physically shuffled and also this helps to ensure chakra balance. Though the exercises done are not for a long period of time, they need to be done daily.

The food you eat also matters as many a times people turn out be obese or under nutrition and that leads to imbalance of the chakras and hence several body problems. Do not avoid meals but have smaller meals as skipping meals can also be dangerous.

One can be sure of the fact that the chakra balance impacts the various aspects of your body and personality and its maintenance is very crucial for effective survival.

Healthy Life With Chakra Color Therapy

April 11th, 2010

The enlightened people have always advocated finding inner peace through internal energy reservoir. In other words, you can improve your life without any external aid, and by concentrating on improving the functioning of seven primary energy centers (chakras) within the body. Balancing the movement of these spinning energy vortexes (primary charkas) is the key to improving your life in all aspects; physical, emotional, and spiritual.

These seven Chakras each have a distinct color associated with them, which governs its movement; balanced or imbalanced. If there is an imbalance, you can correct it by employing Chakra Color Therapy to the relevant imbalanced Chakra.

Before discussing about the Chakra Color Therapy, a brief description of the primary chakras and their associated colors will not be out of place:

1. The Root Chakra (or Muladhara), situated at the base of the spine, is associated with our general health and survival, courage, and vitality. Red is the color associated with this chakra, which empowers the body with overall energy and vitality.

2. The Sacral Chakra, or Svadhisthana, is located just below the navel. This chakra is associated with our sexual drive and emotions. The associated color is Orange, which is known for its qualities of success, self-confidence, and independence of thoughts.

3. The Solar Plexus Chakra, or Manipura, is located just above the navel. This chakra is associated with will, identity, and power. The associated color is Yellow, which is known for its qualities of self-worthiness, clarity of thought, and intellect.

4. The Heart Chakra (or Anahata), situated at the center of the chest, is associated with love, relationships, and compassion. Green is the color associated with this chakra, which empowers the body with the sense of forgiveness and intimacy.

5. The Throat Chakra (or Vishuddha), situated at the base of the throat, is associated with communication, creativity, and resonance. Blue is the color associated with this chakra, which empowers the body with the sense of self-identification and clarity in communication.

6. The Third Eye Chakra (Ajna) is situated between the eyebrows. This sixth chakra is associated with the sixth-sense feelings that are demonstrated through intuitions and apprehensions. The color associated with this chakra is Indigo. The attributes of Indigo color for the body include visualization, self-responsibility, and understanding.

7. The Crown Chakra (or Sahasrara), situated on top of the head, is associated with consciousness, knowledge, and wisdom. Violet is the color associated with this chakra, which empowers the body with a sense of spiritual awareness and self-awareness.

The color associated with each Chakra can be used and incorporated in our lives to balance the dysfunctioning chakras. Chakra Color therapy can be used only after identifying the damaged chakras in the body, which are responsible for its abnormal functioning.

Color Breathing is the next step after you have identified the imbalanced chakra. The exercise involves lying down in a relaxed position with all the seven cloth swatches besides you. Now that you have identified the chakra that need your attention, take the relevant colored cloth swatch and place it on the body part associated with the affected chakra. Take deep breaths. Relax. Visualize the color of the cloth being absorbed by the body and healing the affected chakra. Practice it for 5-10 minutes and you will feel the difference. Repeat for all the damaged chakras.

You can easily maintain chakra balance in the body by regularly practicing Chakra Color Therapy for about 10 minutes daily. It will recharge and oil your chakra movements while keeping their healthy movement going within the body. Your physical, mental and spiritual well being was never so easy to attain.

The Positive Effects Of the Seven Chakras

April 10th, 2010

Chakras are the foci within our bodies where the energy which makes up our life force is generated. Chakra is a Sanskrit word meaning wheel; a good representation of the spherical energy field the word refers to.

There are six Chakras which are located along the spine and a seventh one above these, removed from the physical element of your body.

While we understand these Chakras as energy, you need to understand that these seven Chakras influence your body.

A proper alignment of the seven Chakras helps you to maintain your body in physical, mental and spiritual health; this is why it is important to know more about each Chakra and how it affects you.

More Chakra Balance Secrets Revealed

March 30th, 2010

If you want to learn about the concept of chakra balance you have to understand chakra’s in general first. Chakras are our energy stations or centers. Chakras are your openings in your body for life energy to flow in and out of your aura.

Chakras associate with our mental, emotional and physical activity and one of their functions is developing the self conscious as well as revitalizing the bodies physical energy

Now how about what chakra’s look like? In most depictions you will notice a chakra is a funnel of sorts, and there are also smaller funnels within the larger funnel. Sometimes chakras have been referred to looking almost like a lotus flower.

Everyone has seven chakras and every chakra has a corresponding color association. Here we will learn of each chakra, the benefit of chakra balance and how they work to relieve stress and enhance your life and well being.

Starting at the base of the spine and ending at the top of the head, you will find seven chakras. The names of the chakras are the root chakra, solar plexus and heart chakras, the throat, brow or third eye and the crown chakra.

To achieve chakra balance, you should eat specific foods that encourage the grounding and revitalization of energy to your chakras. You may find this list of foods helpful for balancing your chakras.

The root chakra finds benefit from eating tofu, carrots, beans, potatoes, meats, parsnips, eggs, radishes, garlic and beets.

Sacral chakra can be feed by melons, mangos, strawberries, almonds, honey, cinnamon and more.

Solar Plexus Chakra: Cereals, cheese, flax seed, ginger, milk, mints as well as many other foods. These types of food increase your self esteem.

The heart chakra benefits by eating thyme, sage, spinach, basil, broccoli and green teas, since they encourage the healing of emotional upsets.

It is easier to speak your truth by feeding the throat chakra such foods as plums, pears, limes, lemons, apples, kiwi, lemon grass and salt.

Brow Chakra: Black berries, blueberries, lavender, poppy seeds and red grapes encourage the awakening of the sense of the third eye.

Finally to aid in opening, cleansing and balancing the crown chakra, you will find such incense as frankincense, copal, sage, juniper and myrrh, as they are beneficial in enhancing spiritual communications.

Keep in mind this list is only a fraction of the types of spices, drinks and food products useful for chakra balance. To achieve a chakra balance, however, you will need to learn to gain better focus on the chakra centers of your body.

You can begin balancing your chakras, by starting with the root chakra and working your way up to each ascending chakra, by placing gemstones on each chakra point. When working with each chakra point, you can bring balance to individual chakras by leaving a gemstone on the point for 3 to 5 minutes each, depending on the level of balance you feel each chakra needs.

You can use any kind of gemstone, but some people suggest certain gemstones for each chakra. But this list isn’t always the same for each person; you can test this out by buying a few kinds of gemstones. Once you place the gemstone on your chakra you will possibly notice a humming or a feeling that feels good if you are using the proper gemstone. If you feel a negative feeling, or just the gemstone doesn’t feel correct, do not use that gemstone for that chakra again.

Experiment with various gemstones until you find the one that provides you with the best feelings and then make a list of the chakra and the type of gemstones you use. For example, you may wish to use a black onyx on your root chakra, which is popular with many individuals, however, it may not be the best choice of gemstone to use for your chakra. Never assume that a suggested gemstone is the best choice for you to use, since what works for some, may not work for others. Experiment until you find your perfect gemstone.

A chakra balance can also be done all at once, put your gemstones on each chakra point at the same time, and then leave them on for three to 25 minutes, again depending on how much your chakra’s need to be balanced.

Many people are finding that the easiest and quickest way to achieve chakra balance is by using the latest audio technology which balances your own chakras by reproducing the sound frequency associated with each one.

All you need do is to listen via headphones and your chakras automatically become balanced!

How The Seven Chakras Impact Us

March 24th, 2010

With every day passing we are able to discover unknown facts that have supported the existence of homo-sapiens on this planet and have helped them pass through the test of time and reach the point where they have been able to create a civilization. Of these unexplored aspects that is not completely known by us is the impact of the cosmic energy on the lifestyle and the actions of human body. It is believed that seven chakras in our body participate in exchanging energy and hence control a lot of human activities and behaviour.

More than the energy that we actually receive from the kind of food we intake, we need energy that would help us refresh our mind and souls and this energy is obtained by the interaction of the seven chakras in our body and the celestial objects.

Often unexplained but these seven chakras have an impact on the way we feel, we behave and ultimately the way we live our lives. It is believed that negative thoughts and pessimistic view fills in these chakras a lot of negative energy which makes you feel restless and uncomfortable in unknown situations while positive thoughts and optimistic views help in maintaining positive energy and hence help a person to perform better even under unknown circumstances.

Each chakra plays its part in controlling and regulating a particular organ or habit that we possess, also the level of impact the chakras would have on their specified body part or behaviour would be different from each other.

The various centres of energy which regulate various activities we perform can be understood better in the following way.

The root chakra is the energy circle that governs the overall potential of a person. It helps determine if a particular person is self-confident and can face extreme conditions without backing away. The organs that this chakra monitors include the colon and the organs lying below it as well as the prostrate and the rectum.

Genital Chakra lies above the root chakra and is very important as it helps to control the organs that are important for excretory purposes. This chakra with positive energy could mean that a person is not distracted by luscious offers and can help to have a broad mind. With negativity it can lead to establishing negative vibes and feelings.

The third chakra that helps regulate the functions and the activities of the stomach and other important organs of digestion, is referred to as the umbilical chakra. It helps to maintain a good balance of mind so as to help in decision making. On the negative side it has an impact on the thoughts leading to the arousing of feelings that result from an unstable mind.

The fourth chakra from the bottom is the heart chakra that is responsible for the generation of various emotions as well as inspires feelings of liking and admiration. As the name suggests it has firm control over the human heart and if filled with negativity can lead to feelings of hatred and hypocrisy.

Above the heart chakra is the fifth chakra referred to as the throat chakra, it controls the way we speak as well as what we speak. It helps to regulate critical organs including the mouth and the lungs.

The third eye chakra is the sixth chakra and it helps to pass judgements and perceive things. Positive energy here enhances vision, hearing and smelling powers.

The seventh and the final chakra is crown chakra which promotes the thirst for enlightenment.

Chakra Balancing And Meditation The Essential Tools

February 26th, 2010

Hindu teachings tell us that the chakras are the important energy centers which are present in every human being. Our chakras are the places at which energy flows through our body. The proper flow of this energy is vital to maintaining our physical, mental and emotional health. You can’t actually see your chakras, but you can see their physical manifestation; major components of our endocrine systems.

Chakras control the flow of energy into and out of our bodies. This continuous flow of energy within us and between us and our environment is dependent on your chakras staying in a harmonious balance with each other for proper mental and physical health to exist.

Each of the seven major chakras have their own corresponding functions related to a particular endocrine gland in our body. They are responsible for every sensation, awareness, feeling, sensory and emotional experience we go through as an individual whether positive or negative.

Stress of all types: whether physical, emotional or mental can cause our chakras to be out of balance with each other. This causes a loss of energy or even physical illness! This is a very clear sign that something is wrong with our chakras.

For our body to reap the benefits of a well-tuned chakric system, they need to be functioning in harmony with one another. Chakra balance is essential to maintain its beneficial function to the human body and to achieve this, regular chakra balancing is necessary much like a car’s preventive maintenance procedures.

Importance of Chakra Balancing There are many different ways to balance your chakras; others are always being developed to help people reach a state of perfect balance in their chakras. This is the goal of those who want to have a more healthy, happy and productive life.

For starters, you have to understand that each individual chakra has its own frequency vibration that corresponds to naturally-occurring frequencies that are present in the environment. It is through these unique frequencies that each individual chakra receives and/or transmits energy referred to as chi, qi, or prana.

When we are experiencing physical illness, our chakras are not non-functioning, but are out of balance with each other. The resulting imbalance in energy flow can create all manner of problems, including exacerbating our state of ill health. Other factors which can cause a imbalance in our chakras are stress, poor diet and lack of exercise.

The balance of your chakras can, happily, be restored; although they will get out of balance from time to time, but this can be corrected.

Tools of Chakra Balancing: The most common tools used to restore the balance of chakras are color, crystals and gems, light, sound and aroma therapy.

Colors: Commonly used colors and their corresponding chakras are red (the root chakra), orange (the sacral chakra), yellow (the solar plexus chakra), green and turquoise (the heart chakra), blue (the throat chakra), violet (the crown chakra) and white for any of the seven primary chakras.

Crystals and Gems: For millennia, laying gens, crystals and stones on the body at the location of the chakras has been used to restore chakra balance., Each chakra corresponds to a different color; so laying a stone of this color on the bodily area which corresponds to it can help to reach the proper balance, which in turn helps the body to heal.

Gems and crystals reflect light in their colors; the play of light through these gems can restore balance to the chakras by putting this light into the body at the appropriate points.

Light: The use of light therapy employs light on the eyes, acupuncture meridian points, and the body’s reflex zones to deliver the correct frequency to restore health. Since light emits detectable and invisible light frequencies at the same time, they also have the same specific frequency and resonance required by the body’s chakra system. Due to the wide spectrum of light, they are considered as more effective in achieving the necessary balance of the body’s chakras system.

Aromatherapy: Aromatherapy is the use of scented candles, fragrant massage oils and bath soaps in order to capitalize on the healing properties and physiological effects of the chemical ingredients of plants? essential oils that make up the base product. Essential oils are able to clean, set free and restore an individual’s stability of thoughts and emotions because they can affect a person’s mental, emotion and spiritual aspects. Aromatherapy is generally employed to relieve stress, promote physical and mental relaxation, combat fatigue and depression and as an aid to meditation.

Sound: The use of tuning forks, soft music, quartz crystal, Tibetan bowls, and other objects to generate an agreeable resonance is also utilized to achieve a healthier well-being. Sound has natural vibration and resonance therapeutic effect because it affects us emotionally. Beautiful and melodious sounds can induce serenity and calm whereas chaotic sounds produce dissension and discord. Sound can be used to achieve a quiet and peaceful atmosphere in order to better faster healing and achieve higher levels of consciousness.

Chakra balancing up until recently was a quite time consuming process, but recent advances in audio technology such as listening to binaural beat frequencies, subliminal messaging and self-hypnosis meditation recordings have made the process of chakra balancing far easier and quicker for most people.

Getting an Insight into Our Chakra System

February 26th, 2010

The study of the bodys chakra system is often referred to as Chakrology by its proponents, alternative medicine advocates and New Age theorists. The existence of our chakra system was first discovered by the Ancient Hindus more than four thousand years ago. They have used the model for healing and promoting and individuals well-being.

There are seven major energy centers among the several thousands that make up our chakra system. These seven major chakra points are the doorways of energy that we gather from our environment and surroundings (including other individuals) that make up the complete person that we are in terms of spirituality, physical and mental existence as a human being.

Each major energy point of our bodys chakra system possesses a unique function which contributes to a unique feature of our individuality. Although they work independently of each other, they are at the same time processing the energy they gather towards a common goal: our well being.

An interesting note to consider is the similarity of all the models used to portray our chakra system, regardless of philosophical and/or educational background. They all illustrate a connection to our glandular system!

The common representation of our major chakras is a straight ascending line along the spinal column from the base to the top of the head. Modern representations go one step further and assign the primary colors of the color wheel to each of the seven major energy points for a better illustration and to depict particular energy representations as colors symbolize different energy levels as well.

The significance and existence of chakras is primarily assumed to exist in our awareness (psyche). Nonetheless, there are advocates who firmly believe that chakras also have a physical manifestation and exist not just in the consciousness. Not without basis though as more and more study on the subject reveals what the Ancient Hindus and other Eastern Civilizations have claimed thousands of years ago: that there is a distinct and direct connection between the locations and performance/behavior of the chakras and of the endocrine glands of our body.

The seven major chakra points of our body have an integral role in making us what we are ” healthy or unhealthy.

An integral approach to taking care of our body is necessary in order to achieve total wellness. Considering that the nature of our chakra centers is a continuous interaction between themselves, the environment and our body, it can not be dissociated from the physical being simply because it can not be seen. Although this is the case, the physical manifestations of malfunction is very clear and concrete as each one of our energy centers affect certain parts of our physical and spiritual being.

It is widely accepted that only five of our seven energy centers possess both an active and passive quality. These are the second to the sixth energy centers. Of the seven, the first and seventh energy centers do not have this active/passive quality inherent in the other five. This first and seventh chakra points are the ones that initially receive more energy than others.

It is necessary to understand and be conscious of the functioning of our chakra centers because more energy is channeled through the first and seventh energy centers. With constant exercise of our chakra points, we can manipulate them to send and receive energy equally.
