Take Action On This List Now For Easier Fat Loss

April 9th, 2010

Stress is higher than ever, and a lack of time is more evident than ever. Changes in society are more than likely to have you stressed and on the run twenty four hours a day.

Now stress and a lack of time go hand in hand. They feed each other and build upon each other.

So here is how to reduce stress while simultaneously creating more time for dieting and weight loss goals:

1. Make a list of your top stressors: But this list shouldn’t be exhaustive. Instead, only list your top five stressors. Then, put a check mark next to the stressors that are in your sphere of influence. From here on out, you will ignore the ones without a check mark. Create a concise action plan for the check marked stressors.

2. List your open processes: Open processes or open loops will constantly drain you of mental energy and time. They are like leeches that just keep on sucking out your life blood. So make a list of the ones you can’t control and forget about them forever. Then make action items for the ones you can control.

3. Reduce barriers to easy fat loss: For instance, is all your gym gear in one bag right next to your door? Is your refrigerator stocked with a good supply of healthy food for rapid meal assembly? The more you can manipulate your environment for ease of fat loss, the more likely it is that you will succeed.

4. Focus on habits and routines, not minutiae: If you constantly focus on the small stuff, losing weight will seem like pushing a boulder up a hill. Instead, focus on general behavior changes. Eventually, you will reach a point where things become automatic.

5. Reduce addiction to stress hormones: Stress hormones are energizing and are very powerful tools when used in moderation. However, if you constantly use them and abuse them, your system will break down. In the end, you will exhaust your adrenals and have to take a lot of time off.

Knowing what to eat and how to exercise is important for losing fat. But even more important is figuring out how to de-stress your system and free up mental space. So take action on this advice right now, don’t delay!

Gay Trips For Singles And Hawaii

March 28th, 2010

Hawaii is a Pacific paradise that has long held a distinct allure for travelers from around the world. With a warm, welcoming native population and a well-balanced, culturally-rich blend of Asian, Polynesian and white European cultures, Hawaii is a popular destination for straight and gay vacations alike. While the LGBT community may seem a bit quiet and low-key on the islands, those taking part in gay vacations to Hawaii will find a high level of acceptance, due in part to generations of different cultures growing accustomed to living together with no one overriding cultural or religious influence.

Oahu is home to the state capitol, Honolulu, the popular tourist destination, Waikiki, and 70% of Hawaii’s population. If you plan to visit Oahu on your gay holidays, you will not want to miss La Cucaracha, an LGBT-friendly Mexican caf with authentic Mexican cuisine, margaritas and great music, or the LGBT novelty, book and clothing store, 80% Straight Inc., located in the Waikiki Grand. There are also a few bars and clubs for those interested in the scene, including Hula’s Bar & Lei Stand, Fusion Waikiki, In-Between and Angles Waikiki. If heading to the beach is more your style, Queen’s Surf and the area below the lighthouse at Diamond Head are the two spots where the community can be found any day of the year.

Those who choose a gay tour to Maui might not find a vibrant scene, other than a small area of Little Beach in Makena, but exploring quaint villages, watching the sunset atop Mount Haleakala and sunbathing near waterfalls all make Maui an enticing locale for gay tours. If exploring what is considered the most tropical and scenic island of them all is part of your plans, Kauai is sure to deliver no matter what time of year you visit. Kauai is home to a clothing optional LGBT-friendly bed and breakfast, as well as an LGBT-owned villa with a Japanese flair and a clothing optional lagoon pool, and is an ideal setting for exploring waterfalls, amazing cliffs and vast canyons.

The Big Island is also a welcoming vacation option and offers several LGBT-friendly accommodations, restaurants and business, as well as one bar. Gay vacations to the Big Island provide opportunities to visit an active volcano, black sand beaches, a rain forest or the snow-capped Mauna Kea.

There are many reasons to travel to Hawaii, which is the most remote island chain in the world and a must-see paradise. In a single trip to the islands you can scuba dive or snorkel among coral reefs, explore a volcano, visit a pineapple farm, ride horses on black sand beaches, learn the hula and attend an authentic luau. To make sure you do not miss anything that Hawaii has to offer, use a gay holidays tour, or enlist the assistance of a travel agency well-versed in planning gay vacation tours.

6 Sure-Fire Weight Loss Motivation Tips

March 23rd, 2010

Maintaining the motivation to lose weight commonly the most challenging aspect of losing weight. Many people have no problem signing up for a new diet or fitness program and getting all pumped up at the start. It’s actually sticking with long term goals over a period of months and years that trips most people up. Regularly Measure Improvements In Your Health

The motivation to lose weight is not just about looking and feeling better. It’s also about knowing you are healthier inside! One way to stay motivated is to visit your doctor and have blood work drawn just before you begin your new diet. You can go back at regular intervals to see changes in your blood pressure, cholesterol, blood sugar, and other important numbers.

If you have been diagnosed with diabetes or another health problem, just going off of your medications and knowing you have eliminated the health risk can be great motivation.

Give Yourself Praise

You can maintain your motivation to lose weight by measuring your compliance with goals on a daily basis. You essentially want to give yourself praise for all of your hard work, whether it be a sticker in a notebook or a checkbook in your day planner. If you are handy on the computer you can even create a chart that you update daily.

Team Up

If you can team up with a friend or family member who will hold you accountable, you could both reach your goals much faster and push through the challenging periods. It’s harder to miss a workout when you know someone is waiting on you at the front doors of the gym.

Incentives

Regularly giving yourself rewards is another great way to stayed focused on your prize because they strengthen your incentive to keep taking action. The Best Plan To Get Back Into Shape

March 19th, 2010

Our lifestyles are getting more sedentary by the day, and our health is suffering for it. Although we can’t technically be classed as sick, we aren’t exactly healthy either.

It only takes the minimal effort to greatly improve your life and health. These 4 tips will make a big difference without taking up much of your time.

The simplest one of all is to choose manual instead of automated. So, elevator instead of stairs, depending on what floor you want obviously.

Walking is a great overall exercise and really good for your heart. If you can, walk to work instead of taking the bus or train. Stretch your legs at lunchtime and get some fresh air. By implementing exercises like this into your daily routine, it really doesn’t seem like you are exercising.

We’re always being told to drink more water, and we’re all sick of hearing it but the fact is its essential. This is natures own liquid, and we simply don’t drink enough of it. Take a bottle into work with you, and when you’ve drank it, fill in another 3 times during your working day.

There are so many fruits to choose from, no one can make the sweeping statement that they don’t like fruit. Eat at least 1 a day.

If there is fruit around you to tempt you, your intake will go up without you even realising it. See if your bosses will implement an office fruit scheme, where a selection is delivered to the workplace and put out for the staff to help themselves.

Eating meat with every one of your main meals is damaging the environment as well as your health. Too much red meat is very bad for you; so cut it back to twice a meat. You many turn your nose up at meat free meal, but there are so many delicious recipes around these days you will soon get used to it.

There is a phenomenal vacation destination, filled with one-of-a-kind adventures and exciting locales. Its cities are urbane and vibrant, perfect for gay tours. It is a land of wonders so diverse, with natural and manmade settings so remarkable, it is almost indescribable. Where? Australia!

Australia is a welcoming destination for the gay traveler. There are activities to fit the needs of all travelers. Many gay couples and singles are heading for this beautiful continent.

At Ningaloo, visitors can swim with giant whale sharks, a gentle yet intimidating animal. In Darwin Harbor in the Northern Territory, visitors dive through World War II shipwrecks that now house fish and other marine life. Or how about hiking through Tasmania’s national parks and ancient cool-temperature rainforests, home to ancient flora and exotic animals, such as the Tasmanian tree frog?

Australia is home to one of the most cosmopolitan cities in the world: Sydney. From the grandeur of the Sydney Opera House to boho galleries and fine dining; from the North and South Coast beaches to tropical environmentsin Sydney, the gay traveler is just steps away from action and new experiences at every turn.
